Professor of Philosophy — PhD, Catholic University of Congo
Professor Romeo Likama Mangoba holds a PhD in Philosophy from the Catholic University of Congo (January 2016), with a dissertation titled “The Restructuring of the Naturalness of Ordinary Language in Peter Frederick Strawson.”
His research focuses on philosophy of language, epistemology and political philosophy. He is the author of several publications, including “La notion des particuliers de base en tant que remède au dĂ©ficit communicationnel” (Revue Philosophique de Kinshasa, 2020), “Aristote dans la philosophie strawsonienne: un essai d’interprĂ©tation du style mĂ©thodologique” (Recherches Scientifiques Africaines, NORAF, 2017), and “Le dialogue inclusif rationnel comme fondement du pouvoir politique” (Proceedings of the 4th Interdisciplinary Colloquium of the Catholic University Omnia Omnibus, 2026). He also authored the general report of the scientific day dedicated to His Eminence Cardinal Fridolin Ambongo (L’Harmattan, Paris, 2026).
His career combines academia and public administration. At the Kinshasa Revenue Authority (DGRK), he served as Head of the Payroll, Personnel and Archives Unit (2008), Head of the Payroll Office (2010-2015), then Head of the Social Affairs Office (2015-2016), before becoming a tax and non-tax inspector since 2021. On the academic side, he was Academic Secretary-General (2016-2021) then acting Rector (2019-2021) of the University of Ikela (UNIK), in Tshuapa province, where he has taught since 2016. Since 2023, he has also been a professor at the Catholic University Omnia Omnibus in Kinshasa.
