Who are we?
We are a group of citizens of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, former members of the Society of Jesus (known as “Jesuits”), entrepreneurs, socio-economic and cultural operators, public and private executives, national and international civil servants, and consultants, spread across every continent.
Convinced that the Democratic Republic of the Congo, our country, can and must be rapidly transformed into a modern, credible, just state that flourishes for all its daughters and sons, we are determined to unite our efforts, our skills and our credibility to contribute significantly, through effective reflection and action, to this end, in every promising national domain (social, economic, political and ecological). These are, among others, the traits that define us as members of CongoMagis.
Introduction
Looking at the situation of the Democratic Republic of the Congo since its independence, one conclusion is unavoidable: our dear homeland is hardly on the right track. Many causes are cited to explain this regression; they are no doubt all as relevant as one another.
The urgent question, however, is whether time still allows us endless circumlocution. Our shared answer is no, given the dangers, threats and risks that the current situation casts over our dear Nation, over its lands and its many other resources and, above all, over the multitude of its daughters and sons.
We have therefore decided to make a choice: to throw our combined strength into a multi-faceted, relentless battle, with the sole aim of contributing to national recovery on every front. Given our various strengths and skills across the most varied scientific and social fields, we have chosen to get our hands dirty, in the hope that the forces of qualitative change we intend to multiply will progressively gain the upper hand for the good of our whole homeland.
Our Vision
To become a reference hub and an incubator of ideas to influence and support the public and private sectors in order to improve the socio-economic conditions of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Our Mission
To help give shape and substance to a qualitatively emerging Democratic Republic of the Congo, where all social partners progressively rediscover the values of a love of excellence (the Magis) and of patriotism, within a world caught up in multiple, contradictory interests, but also in rapid, constant change that demands adaptation.
