Professor Pascal Sundi Mbambi is Associate Professor in the Department of Political and Administrative Sciences at the National Pedagogical University (UPN) and Academic Secretary-General at the Higher Teacher Training Institute (ISP) of Mbanza-Ngungu, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He holds a PhD in political science from the University of Antwerp, where his research focused on capacity building through UNICEF’s Village Assaini programme in Kongo Central province.
His research focuses primarily on governance, development policy, human rights and public policy in sub-Saharan Africa, with a particular interest in issues relating to water, sanitation, health, decentralization and civil society. He has published in several international peer-reviewed scientific journals, including The International Journal of Human Rights, Anthropologie & Développement and Congo-Afrique, and has taken part in several collaborative research projects as well as international scientific conferences.
